The Master Routine Series -
Collected Works

Mark Leveridge's Master Routine Series first began in 1984 and over the next 20 years a total of 12 professional routines were released. Originally available as separate instruction booklets, all 12 have now been brought together into one publication which is available for the first time in PDF format. Mark considers these routines some of his best work. What's more, all the text has been edited where necessary and every diagram has been completely re-drawn by magician and artist, JAMES FORTUNE. His excellent illustrations make a helpful and stylish addition to the text explanations.

The 12 routines encompass a wide variety of themes for both close-up and stand-up work. Each one has been carefully thought through, broken down into easy to manage stages, and then thoroughly and carefully described and illustrated in order to give you the very best chance of learning the magic. The routines are:

No. 1 - The Commercial Sponge Ball Routine
A direct no-nonsense sponge ball routine for all occasions

No. 2 - The Free Selection Collectors
Using a regular deck you perform a multi-phase card routine

No. 3 - Stay At Home Coins

No. 5 - Wild Dice

No. 6 - The Ring And String Routine

No. 7 - Spot The Difference

Reviews

"I have never read a book quite like The Strolling Magician. Mark Leveridge has expanded his publication The Art Of Hopping Tables and fashioned it into the current volume, an unromantic nuts and bolts approach to working real-world venues for money. This book strikes me as a uniquely beneficial offering. I recommend this book not only to readers who are considering entering this line of work, but also those who are currently engaged in it. The volume is filled with useful information about the business as well as a variety of clear, simple effects that Mr. Leveridge has come to value, and with good reason … But this is not a book of tricks, it's a book of secrets, and is one I'd encourage any person to read before leaping into a part-time or full-time career of magic. Mark Leveridge has written an admirable guide here … one that will help many safely across the minefield."

- Mr David Regal, Genii Magazine

“Don't let anybody kid you; strolling magic is tough. Sometimes the conditions are so adverse that you'll think that the only way to make the job more challenging would be to set fire to yourself. Forwarned is forearmed, and one of the best ways to be prepared is to pick up a copy of The Strolling Magician. Mark Leveridge has done a terrific job in pointing out the landmines and offering ways to diffuse them. If you have any interest in performing close up magic in the real world, spend some time with The Strolling Magician first. You'll be glad you did.”

- Mr Mike Close, Magic Magazine
