The top and bottom cards are now shown to confirm they are not the spectator’s card and the face up pack is fairly secured with two criss-crossed rubber bands. You ask the spectator what card he chose. He names it and you say, “Watch!” You cover the deck with a handkerchief for an instant, before whisking it away to reveal the face card of the bound deck is now his card. The change literally happens in a flash! The rubber bands are removed and the selected card is immediately tossed out for examination.
