Jack London was the stage name of Harold Rifas, born on November 20, 1923. He is best remembered for his innovative and baffling mentalism effects which he marketed as a mail order magic dealer for many years. In addition to being a leading New York mentalist, Rifas was also a decorated combat veteran - having served in the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII. Rifas died at the age of 57 on November 13, 1981.
